Join Us
On the evening of May 29 at The St. Joseph’s Arts Society in San Francisco to raise funds to support talented entrepreneurs in surviving the critical start-up phase and launching successful businesses that enrich the Bay Area.
It is ever more vital we continue not simply to create and execute on opportunity for low-income, immigrant and women entrepreneurs, but we herald those successes. This year, our gala will celebrate our biggest leap yet: Opening the La Cocina Municipal Marketplace, the country’s first women-led food hall. Join us for a delicious meal, dancing, and community!
Celebrating 15 Years
The quinceañera — a rite of passage for women throughout Latin America, offers a fitting opportunity to reflect on our 15 years of work and to think critically about what the future holds for our community and organization.
You need look no further than the 33 brick-and-mortar restaurants that La Cocina graduates have opened, or the multiple James Beard nominations, the Food and Wine Best New Restaurants, the Time Magazine Top 100 Places in the World or the San Francisco Chronicle’s Best Restaurants that lists six La Cocina graduates to see that if women of color and immigrant women begin from an equal point of opportunity, our city would look entirely different and a bit more delicious.
