The work of creating a more level economic landscape for women, immigrants, and people of color in the Bay Area is a multi-generational project.

Including La Cocina in your will or estate plan through a bequest, a gift of life insurance, real property, or other assets perpetuates your commitment to entrepreneurship in the Bay Area and the model that La Cocina has developed and shared with other communities around the world.

By doing this, you’ll be supporting a time-tested program that works. Your forward-looking generosity will provide the resources for our entrepreneurs to turn aspirations into assets, even after you’re no longer here to taste the results.

We can’t know what the hospitality industry might look like at the end of this century, but we know for sure that talented entrepreneurs and chefs will always strive to build economic security for their families, share culture and tradition, and enliven our communities with delicious food.

As we have over our first 20 years, La Cocina will continue to evolve to meet the needs of these entrepreneurs, and a gift that costs you nothing now will help build a more equitable future for the next generation of chefs.

To join our Legacy Table today, share the following language with your attorney or estate planner:

“I give $____ or ____% of my estate to La Cocina, Inc., a California nonprofit corporation, federal tax identification number 59-3838549, 2948 Folsom Street, San Francisco, CA 94110.”

Let us know that you’ve made a provision for La Cocina in your estate plan, and we’ll enroll you. You’ll be invited to be our guest at our first annual lunch at a La Cocina-born restaurant with your fellow Legacy Table members and receive regular updates about the many things your generosity makes possible.

While we can’t offer estate planning advice, we’re always happy to talk about La Cocina and any of the ways you might like to support our work. To be enrolled in the Legacy Table, or if you have questions, please contact Grace at grace@lacocinasf.org
