"CHOICES" FALL 2020

OCTOBER 29, 2020 | 5:45 PM PT

An Unforgettable Storytelling Project

Voices From the Kitchen shares stories from cooks and kitchens less often heard. Over the last five years, the twice-yearly stage performance featured photography, animation, video, sound, and an interactive food experience for the audience.

In light of COVID-19, this event will be broadcasted for the first time virtually, reaching a national audience and food community. While the event is free, consider supporting La Cocina by purchasing a paid ticket and/or a meal kit from the talented La Cocina chefs, which you can enjoy while watching the show.

2020 has presented us with an almost endless series of choices, while sometimes simultaneously leaving us feeling there are few viable options. Many of us are doing a lot of thinking about who gets to choose and which choices get our collective attention. This season’s installment of Voices From the Kitchen captures beautiful, personal stories that speak to this unique moment. Our storytellers will look at "choices" through the lens of food, taking this theme in every direction— from timely stories that look at choices that arise for all of us during a worldwide pandemic to looking just a few months down the road at the critically important elections.
