Voices from the Kitchen is a storytelling project created by La Cocina that seeks to share the voices and stories from the cooks and kitchens that are less often heard. The event is a twice-yearly performance that revolves around (and includes) food and drink on a singular topic or theme and features a dozen iconic and new voices.

The La Cocina San Francisco Street Food Festival is a vibrant celebration of community, culture, and entrepreneurial spirit featuring 50+ Bay Area chefs and restaurants. Come and celebrate our 10-year anniversary of hosting the festival for a full day of eating and drinking, and stay for a festival that promotes equity for women, immigrant and people-of-color-owned food businesses.

On the evening, we will celebrate the talented entrepreneurs of La Cocina and pay a special tribute to our fellow kitchen incubators operating across cities nationwide, for creating spaces of opportunity and inclusivity in their local communities for food entrepreneurs.
2019 is an exciting year for La Cocina, it is ever more vital that we continue not simply to create and execute on opportunity for low-income, immigrant and women entrepreneurs but also that we herald those successes. This year, these successes will be amplified through the voices of La Cocina’s talented chef entrepreneurs in our upcoming cookbook, to be launched June of 2019. Join us in celebrating this launch.
